The activities of The Augustan Society fall into several broad categories:

• Chivalry
• Genealogy
• Heraldry
• History (before AD 1700)
• Royalty & Nobility

We also have a number of programs that cross these topical boundaries:

• Study Groups; both permanent and ad hoc projects, mostly of an interdisciplinary nature
• Library
• Communications

There are several Lineage Groups, membership in which is open to the public:

• Society of Descendants of the Latin Kingdom of Jerusalem
• Society of Descendants of Ireland
• Society of Descendants of Scotland
• Society of Descendants of the Conquest

Finally, we have a few sub-groups where membership is restricted to select members of The Augustan Society:

• The Order of the Augustan Eagle
• The Noble Company of the Rose
• Fellows of the Society
